Torchbearing provides presentation design skills training.jpg

Torchbearing provides training to support individuals or groups to improve their presentation design skills. This training can be delivered on a one to one basis, or to groups of up to 20 people.

One to one coaching

This is typically a personally tailored programme, delivered over 4-6 weeks.

Together we will review the requirements of your presentation, making sure we understand the event and its audience. We will establish a clear strategy for what you want your audience to take away from your presentation.

Together we will create a strong impactful presentation, at the same time as focusing on building your own skills and confidence in presentation design.

One day group workshops

These fully interactive workshops use the principles of adult learning to ensure that you will not only learn about how to “make presentations memorable” but you will also experience the underlying principles of audience engagement for yourself.

At the end of the workshop, you will:

  1. Understand how to put yourself in the shoes of your audience.

  2. Know how to design your message from the audience’s perspective – what messages do you want them to take away with them?

  3. Be able to structure your presentations in a way that helps your audience to understand, learn and remember your message. You will learn how to use stories, theory, visual aids and participation techniques.

  4. Understand how to design your powerpoint/visual aids to complement your presentation.

We provide these workshops for groups of staff from organisations, and also run public sessions which individuals can book onto.
